Important Income Tax Deadlines

We want to make sure you're as prepared as possible for this upcoming tax season, so here are some important Federal tax deadlines to keep in mind:

JANUARY

1/15 - Final 2019 estimated tax payment due

1/31 - 1099s and W-2s are due to be provided to the worker and the IRS

MARCH

3/15 - Partnership Returns due (extension to 9/15)

3/15 - S-Corp Returns due (extension to 9/15)

APRIL

4/15 - Individual Returns due (extension to 10/15)

4/15 - Estate and Trusts Returns due (extension to 9/30)

4/15 - C-Corporation tax returns due (extension to 10/15)

4/15 - Deadline to contribute to traditional / Roth / SEP IRA, solo 401(k), Health Savings Account

4/15 - First estimated tax payment of 2019 due

*(If your due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the due date is moved to the next business day.)

Extensions must be filed prior to the initial deadline.

An extension is free and easy to file. If you feel unprepared to meet the original deadline, take advantage of the opportunity to receive more time to file by filing an extension. Remember that doing so will prevent penalties for late filing, but you will be assessed penalties and interest for late payments of tax due.
